What changed: EPC125-05, 2025 Version 1.2, date issued 30 September 2026, date effective 30 September 2026. The rulebook states that throughout the document the determined date of 15 November 2026 as of which the unstructured address format is no longer permitted has been taken out, without a new end date yet set, reflecting the decision taken at the September 2026 PSMB meeting. The EPC will maintain support for unstructured addresses beyond the previously announced 15 November 2026 deadline and will determine a new end date in due course based on market and payment industry developments. The change is limited to the address message element; no other changes were made to this rulebook version.

What changed: Revised unstructured address phase-out deadline from 22 November 2026 to 15 November 2026; introduced hybrid address format option alongside fully structured and unstructured formats. On 9 September 2026 the EPC Payment Scheme Management Board decided to maintain support for unstructured addresses beyond 15 November 2026; the PSMB will reconvene in October 2026 to set a new end date, and revised rulebooks are expected to be published by October 2026 at the latest.
