Adyen became a direct participant of STET on 1 April 2026. The company simultaneously became a principal member of Groupement des Cartes Bancaires. The Amsterdam-based payment processor now clears French payment operations without third-party intermediaries.
Cartes Bancaires processes 15 billion transactions annually across France. STET processed 18 billion interbank transactions in 2025.
Direct clearing access gives Adyen control over the full compensation chain from authorization to settlement for its French merchant base.
