Beneficiary name became mandatory in payment files for Bankgiro and Plusgiro payments on 8 September 2026. From that date, payments sent to a Bankgiro number via the new payment infrastructure are shown as bulk entries in the extended MT940 statement file.
Reporting requirements changed alongside the file rules. Corporates must have camt.053 or camt.054 in place to receive full payment information via the new clearing.
