KIR's Express Elixir processed 60.02 million transactions worth PLN 30.77 billion in March 2026, the first month in the system's history to exceed that level. Volume grew 14% compared to March 2025. Value rose 20% year-over-year. Peak daily throughput reached 2.83 million transactions on March 10.
Express Elixir processed 162.73 million transactions worth PLN 83.72 billion across Q1 2026. Quarterly volume grew 13% over Q1 2025. Batch Elixir handled 555.23 million transactions in the same quarter, a 1% decline year-over-year. Instant transactions now represent 29% of batch Elixir's throughput.
Over 25 commercial banks and approximately 450 cooperative banks are connected to Express Elixir. Poland submitted draft legislation transposing the EU Instant Payments Regulation to parliament in December 2025. Polish PSPs face a January 2027 deadline to receive instant euro transfers and a July 2027 deadline to send them.
