UPI processed 23.66 billion transactions worth Rs 29.88 lakh crore in July 2026, according to data published by NPCI on August 1. Volume rose 4.1 percent from June's 22.72 billion. Transaction count increased 22 percent year-on-year from July 2025's 19.47 billion.
Transaction value grew 3.3 percent from June. Value rose 19 percent year-on-year. The daily average reached 763 million transactions worth Rs 96,383 crore.
The July record arrived without seasonal factors like festivals or fiscal year-end activity. Cashfree Payments co-founder Reeju Datta attributed growth to everyday transaction behavior expanding across tier 2, tier 3, and rural markets.
