FedNow surpassed 1,800 participating financial institutions by July 1, 2026, adding roughly 200 since January. The service enrolled 500 institutions over the course of 2025. Seven of the ten largest US banks now participate in the network.
Full-year 2025 statistics published by Federal Reserve Financial Services show 8,413,402 settled credit transfers worth $853.4 billion. Volume grew 458.9% over 2024, when the service processed 1.5 million payments valued at $38.2 billion. Average payment value rose to $101,435 from $25,376 in the prior year.
First-quarter 2026 results show 2,728,510 payments totaling $271.3 billion, reflecting 10.6% quarterly volume growth and 7.7% value growth over Q4 2025.
