GhIPSS Instant Pay processed 202.8 million transactions in 2025, an increase of 25.9 per cent. The value of those transactions rose 100.5 per cent to GH¢712 billion. The Bank of Ghana published both figures in its 2025 Systems Oversight Annual Report.

Value grew at roughly four times the rate of volume, which means the average Instant Pay transfer was materially larger in 2025 than a year earlier. The 2025 pair implies a mean transaction of about GH¢3,500.

Graphic Online, drawing on the central bank's monthly data, has separately reported that the value of transactions through Instant Pay rose 61 per cent between August 2025 and August 2026. The same report described Instant Pay as the country's second-largest payment channel.
