Indonesia and South Korea Go Live with Cross-Border QRIS Payments
Perry Warjiyo and Chang Cheong-soo inaugurated the bilateral QR corridor during a presidential summit, extending Indonesia's cross-border QRIS acceptance network to a sixth economy.
Bank Indonesia and the Bank of Korea activated cross-border QR payment connectivity on April 1, 2026. Indonesians can now use QRIS through domestic mobile applications to pay at Korean merchants without currency conversion.
South Korea is Indonesia's sixth cross-border QR payment corridor.
