Raast reached Rs 50 trillion in cumulative transaction value in May 2026. The system processed close to two billion transactions during calendar year 2025. Daily volumes averaged approximately 5.5 million payments. The first trillion rupees took 360 days to process after launch in December 2021. That same volume now moves through the system every nine days.
Q2 FY26 data from the State Bank of Pakistan recorded 645.7 million transactions worth Rs 18.5 trillion between October and December 2025. Person-to-person transfers accounted for 603 million of those transactions at Rs 15.7 trillion. QR code-based payments reached Rs 288 billion during the quarter, tripling from the previous period. Merchant acceptance has expanded to 2.1 million points across Pakistan.
The SBP has mandated all government payments migrate to Raast by the end of fiscal year 2025-26. The Benazir Income Support Programme, Military Accounts Department, and National Savings directorate are targeting migration deadlines between March and June 2026. Raast now serves 48 million registered users. Digital channels account for 92 percent of retail payment volume in Pakistan.
