PAPSS Targets 38 Countries on Its Network by End of 2026
Twenty-four central banks already participate in the cross-border settlement platform, according to the network's own figures.
The Pan-African Payment and Settlement System (PAPSS) is targeting 38 countries on its network by the end of 2026, chief executive Mike Ogbalu III said. The system says it currently connects 30 African countries.
PAPSS expects to connect all 54 African countries within the next five years.
