UPI processed 23.20 billion transactions worth Rs 29.90 lakh crore in May 2026, according to NPCI data published on June 1. Both figures are all-time monthly records.

Transaction count grew 24 percent over May 2025. Value increased 19 percent over the same period.

IMPS recorded 358 million transactions in May, with value at Rs 6.96 lakh crore.
