Operated by the Bank of Thailand since 1995, it provides final settlement for retail clearing systems including PromptPay via ITMX. Migrated to ISO 20022 in August 2022.

BOT does not publish a BAHTNET daily average. The registered daily figures divide the monthly totals in BOT report PS_BF_001 by financial-institution business days. The totals cover interbank funds transfers, third-party funds transfers and multilateral funds transfers, and exclude Banknote Ordering System transactions. August 2026 had 20 business days because of the 12 August bank holiday. Third-party funds transfers make up most of the volume, while interbank funds transfers make up most of the value.
