CoDi / DiMo
FPSCobro Digital (CoDi, 2019) and Dinero Móvil (DiMo, 2023) are Mexico's instant payment overlay services on SPEI infrastructure. CoDi enables QR-based merchant payments; DiMo enables phone-number-based P2P transfers. Both operated by Banco de México with 86 participating institutions.

Record · CoDi / DiMo
CoDi is Banco de México's QR and NFC request-to-pay overlay on SPEI, launched in September 2019 and free of charge. DiMo has been in production since early 2023 as an additional service of SPEI participants that addresses transfers by mobile number instead of CLABE; linking is free while transfer fees are set by each institution. Account registrations on both services far exceed actual usage, and the ABM has said CoDi is not intended for every payment. Circular 9/2026 requires participants to standardise SPEI, DiMo, CoDi and QR flows in mobile apps by 14 December 2026.
