Payments Canada 2025 Annual Report (published mid-2026) confirms Lynx achieved 99.91% system availability in 2025. Full transition to ISO 20022 MX messaging completed, with legacy MT coexistence period ending November 2025. RTR By-law No. 10 and RTR Rules came into force August 24, 2026, establishing the core legal framework ahead of the Q4 2026 phased RTR launch; Interac e-Transfer migration to RTR not expected until 2027. Payments Canada publishes a monthly Lynx volume and value summary; the January–August 2026 year-to-date daily averages run below the 2025 full-year daily averages shown on the Lynx service page, with August 2026 the lowest month of 2026 so far by both count and value.
