T2 entered non-optional maintenance at 02:40 CET on July 6, suspending settlement of euro and Danish krone payments. The ECB restored normal operations within an hour.
The disruption followed a similar incident on June 29, which was resolved by 05:46 CET. An ECB spokesperson told Reuters that a software update deployed in June had "introduced an issue that has now been addressed."
