UPI processed 24.51 billion transactions in August 2026, up 3.6 per cent from 23.66 billion in July, according to NPCI data reported on September 1.
Volume grew 22 per cent from 19.63 billion transactions in August 2025.
Average daily volume increased to 791 million transactions in August from 763 million in July.
