Notes

August 2026 NEFT volume and value both fell month on month, reversing the gains recorded in July 2026. The registered daily averages were originally derived from RBI's bank-wise NEFT data and have now been reconciled against RBI's aggregate Payment System Indicators for August 2026, which agree within rounding. Year on year the value series is growing faster than the volume series, so the average NEFT ticket is rising. RBI data are provisional.
