What changed: The Banco Central do Brasil's manual of the flows of the Pix payment process. Version 2.1, dated 5 June 2025 in the manual's revision history, added a subsection on generating payment orders by proximity (NFC) and places Pix Automático among the payment orders sent to the SPI's secondary message channel. To be superseded by version 2.2 from 1 February 2027.

What changed: Version 2.2, which the Banco Central do Brasil publishes with effect from 1 February 2027, removes the references to recurring scheduled Pix (Pix Agendado recorrente) from the explanatory text and adds an explanation of how hybrid charges (cobranças híbridas) are handled.
