Hectronic, a German provider of payment solutions for charging, parking, and refuelling infrastructure, announced the integration of Wero into its hardware platform on April 29. The company's charging stations and parking machines will generate dynamic QR codes that customers scan with their banking or Wero app to complete payment via SEPA instant transfer.

Hectronic is among the first mobility technology providers to embed Wero payments into physical infrastructure. Live operations will launch shortly, with fuel retail integration planned as a subsequent phase.

EPI has deferred NFC-based POS payments to 2027 for consumer retail. The QR-based approach at mobility locations provides physical Wero acceptance without requiring NFC hardware.
