FPSSEPA Instant Credit Transfer (SCT Inst) - 24/7/365 euro instant payments. Max theoretical amount €999,999,999.99 per transaction (raised from €100K in Oct 2025; PSPs may set lower limits). Settled in central bank money via TIPS. Cleared through RT1 (EBA Clearing) and/or TIPS (ECB). Mandatory for euro area PSPs: receive from 9 January 2025, send from 9 October 2025 (Instant Payments Regulation). Verification of Payee mandatory for euro area PSPs from 9 October 2025, the same date as the sending mandate. PSPs in non-euro area Member States must receive from 9 January 2027 and send from 9 July 2027.

The EPC Payment Scheme Management Board decided on 9 September 2026 to maintain support for unstructured addresses beyond the 15 November 2026 end-date under all five EPC payment scheme rulebooks; the board will reconvene in October 2026 to set a new end date, and revised 2025 rulebooks, implementation guidelines and guidance materials are due by October 2026 at the latest. The EPC SCT Inst Register of Participants was updated on 11 September 2026 according to the EPC registers page, but the EPC website is recorded by ClearingPost as blocking automated access, so the registered participant count still reflects the 7 August 2026 publication. The VoP Scheme Rulebook v1.1, Inter-PSP API Specifications v1.1.1 and API Security Framework v2.1 take effect on 20 September 2026.
