ACI Worldwide joined the European Payments Initiative as a technical service provider on June 15. The company will integrate Wero onto its Payments Orchestration Platform, enabling merchants and financial intermediaries across Europe to offer Wero at checkout.
ACI powers 26 instant payment schemes across six continents. Rabobank confirmed on June 16 that ACI's Real-Time Payments Processing technology underpins its migration of iDEAL payments to Wero, shifting Dutch payment flows from standard SEPA Credit Transfer to SEPA Instant Credit Transfer rails.
iDEAL handles over 70 percent of Dutch online transactions. Full technical routing migration to Wero infrastructure is planned for the second half of 2026, subject to DNB approval.
