Nexi Group announced on April 28 that Computop, its German technical subsidiary, is now processing Wero account-to-account e-commerce transactions for merchants in Germany. Retailers BAUR, Quelle, and Bünting Group's online platforms Combi.de and MyTime.de are among the first merchants signed up through the Nexi integration. BAUR-Gruppe plans to incorporate Wero into its ComfortPay checkout service across both the BAUR and Quelle brands.
The launch adds another acquirer to Germany's Wero merchant acceptance network alongside established processors including PAYONE, Worldline, and Nuvei. EPI CEO Martina Weimert said the integration brings account-to-account payments to a broader range of German merchants and customers.
Nexi first became a licensed Wero acquirer through its Computop partnership in February 2025. Wero e-commerce is now live in Germany, Belgium, and France following BPCE's activation of French transactions on April 20.
