Nubank customers experienced PIX receiving failures on April 23, 2026. Funds departed sender accounts but failed to credit recipient balances at Nubank. Over 300 complaints appeared on Downdetector by late afternoon. Nubank acknowledged the instability and stated it was working to restore services.

Itau's mobile app experienced instability the following day, starting at approximately 9:00 AM on April 24. Error messages during login and incorrect password notifications blocked platform access for part of its customer base. PIX transfers, payments, and purchases via the app were affected, though web banking and card transactions continued normally.

Both incidents were confined to individual participant platforms. C6 and XP confirmed normal PIX operations during the Nubank disruption. These are the seventh and eighth documented PIX service incidents in 2026.
