Early Warning Services announced on June 11 that US consumers will be able to send money to India through the Zelle network before the end of 2026. India is the world's largest recipient of inbound remittances. Zelle currently serves over 150 million users across 2,400 US banks and credit unions.

EWS also unveiled ZelleUSD, a proprietary dollar-backed stablecoin to support cross-border payment capabilities in markets beyond India. The company first signaled in 2025 that stablecoin technology would power its international expansion strategy.

The India corridor is Zelle's first move beyond domestic peer-to-peer transfers since the network launched in 2017.
