FPSReplacedBetalningar i Realtid (Payments in Real-Time) was Sweden's instant payment clearing system operated by Bankgirot. It was the clearing infrastructure that underpinned Swish transactions. Replaced by RIX-INST in 2024.

BiR was discontinued in February 2024. Swish and instant payment clearing migrated to RIX-INST, the Riksbank's new instant payment settlement system. Bankgirot handled ~7.3M payments/day total (of which ~1.4M real-time). In its final year, BiR/Swish processed ~1.1B payments (SEK 560B value).
