NICS cleared value declined 35.7% YoY in 2025 (to NOK 261B daily average) due to SWIFT-format transaction processing discontinuation in September 2025. All banks completed redirection of gross payments to NBO by August 2025. NBO daily settlement transactions rose from 4,595 in 2024 to 13,577 in 2025 as a result.
