Bahrain is projected to be the world's leader in per-capita real-time payment adoption by 2027, ahead of Brazil and Thailand. ACI projects 83.3 real-time transactions per person per month by 2027. BenefitPay app handles P2P, P2M, bill payments, and government disbursements. 2024: 420.3M TX, BD 8.6B. 2025: 467.9M TX, BD 9.7B (+11.3% vol, +13.6% val). Full EFTS network (Fawri + Fawri+ + Fawateer): 494M transactions, BD 37.5B ($99.5B) in 2025 (+10.7% vol, +12.6% val). Daily limit increased from BD 1,000 to BD 3,000 per account effective 21 July 2025. BENEFIT signed agreement with NPCI International Payments Limited (NIPL) for bilateral real-time transfers between Bahrain and India.
