Kenya has a unique payment landscape dominated by M-Pesa mobile money (50M+ users, processes ~50% of GDP). KEPSS settles high-value interbank. PesaLink (2017) provides real-time bank-to-bank and bank-to-mobile transfers. CBK also operates EAPS (East African Payment System) for cross-border settlement with Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Burundi.
