P27
FPSP27 was a joint Nordic initiative to build pan-Nordic multi-currency clearing. The project was cancelled in April 2023 after P27 Nordic Payments Platform withdrew its clearing license application from Finansinspektionen. Approximately EUR 700M was invested. The underlying need for Nordic cross-border payment interoperability is now being addressed through individual bilateral connections to the ECB TIPS platform. P27 the company continues as the holding company owning Bankgirot.

Mastercard exploring sale of Nets real-time payments/clearing business acquired for €2.85B in 2019 (FT, 26 March 2026). Nets RTP unit generates ~$370M annual revenue and ~$100M EBITDA. Vocalink (UK FPS, Canada RTR) is a separate Mastercard subsidiary not included in the Nets divestiture.
