QCB launched new QA-RTGS on December 16, 2024 with native ISO 20022 messaging, replacing the legacy QPS (Qatar Payment System, SWIFT-based, ~2004). QAR and foreign-currency transfer activation on December 9, 2025. 17 direct participants including QCB, QNB, QIB, Commercial Bank, Dukhan Bank, Al-Rayan Bank, HSBC, Doha Bank, Arab Bank, Standard Chartered. Supports intraday (REPO, QMR) and overnight liquidity facilities. Integrates with QCB clearing systems and central securities depository.
