The Banco Central do Brasil published its second PIX management report on August 10, explicitly classifying cross-border integration as an active policy objective.

The report describes both bilateral connections with foreign instant payment systems and participation in multilateral payment hubs, a marked shift from the 2023 report that characterized international integration only as a future possibility.

BCB has signed information-sharing agreements on PIX with 65 foreign counterparts, including central banks in Germany, Canada, South Africa, and Turkey.
