Denmark's krone went live on TIPS on April 22, 2025, making DKK the second non-euro currency to settle on the Eurosystem's instant payment platform after Sweden's krona. Eleven months later, DKK instant payments reached 2.10 million daily average transactions in March 2026. Daily settlement value averaged DKK 1.9 billion.

DKK transaction volumes on TIPS averaged 1.45 million daily in January 2026. By March, the daily average reached 2.10 million, a 45 percent increase within one quarter. Settlement values rose from DKK 1.4 billion daily in January to DKK 1.9 billion in March, though February dipped to DKK 1.3 billion before recovering.

Combined with EUR and SEK settlements, TIPS processed 9.98 million daily average transactions across all three currencies in March 2026. EUR contributed 4.74 million, SEK 3.13 million, and DKK 2.10 million. Norway's Norges Bank signed an agreement in November 2024 to add NOK settlement to TIPS by the first half of 2028, which would extend TIPS to a four-currency settlement platform.
