ECB published T2 operating hours extension roadmap on May 28, 2026, based on consultation feedback from 125 entities across 19 countries. Short-term measures affecting TIPS: settlement window for T2 liquidity transfers on weekends and TARGET holidays, automatic remuneration of excess liquidity in TIPS DCAs, and rule-based liquidity transfers between TIPS DCAs and T2 MCAs. ECB Governing Council recorded decision June 12, 2026. Next market consultation planned by early 2027 for potential full 24/7 T2 operations.
