Four Luxembourg Banks to Launch Wero at End of June with Full Feature Suite

BGL BNP Paribas, Bil, Raiffeisen, and Spuerkeess will launch Wero in Luxembourg at the end of June 2026. Post Luxembourg will follow during the summer.

The launch includes peer-to-peer transfers, e-commerce checkout, and in-store QR code payments from day one. Previous Wero market entries phased in features over months.

Payconiq and Wero will coexist from July through September 2026 before Wero becomes the sole payment solution from October. Banque de Luxembourg will join the network at a later stage.
