PayPal on April 13 launched PIX as a payment method within its PayPal Complete Payments platform for small and medium-sized businesses in Brazil. The integration allows merchants to offer PIX alongside cards and other local payment methods at checkout.
PayPal Complete Payments launched in Brazil in 2025 as an all-in-one platform combining cards, local payment methods, and business tools. The company marks 15 years of operations in Brazil in 2026.
PIX has more than 170 million users, representing over 90 percent of Brazil's adult population. The system accounts for approximately one-third of Brazil's online sales value.
