Resolução BCB nº 603 of 23 October 2026 inserts articles 15-D to 15-N into the Pix Regulation to govern credit offered to a paying user during the initiation of a Pix transaction. Article 2 of the resolution sets entry into force at 1 July 2027. Article 15-F makes any such offer conditional on the paying user's prior authorisation. That authorisation takes effect twenty-four hours after the user gives it. The user may withdraw it at any time with immediate effect.

Article 15-J bars credit offers above the value of the Pix transaction. The same article bars offers in scheduled transactions and in transactions whose purpose is withdrawal or change. Under article 15-D, paragraph 1, the Pix transaction reaches the receiving user immediately and in full regardless of the number of instalments the payer contracts. Article 15-D, paragraph 6, keeps the credit balance out of the revolving credit of a post-paid payment account when the instalments are billed on that account's invoice.

Article 15-E allows the offer only from a participant in the transactional account provider modality authorised to operate by the Banco Central do Brasil. The same article requires the credit itself to be granted by a financial institution authorised by the Banco Central do Brasil. Article 15-N requires participants that offer this credit to add an area for consulting contracted operations and a credit simulator to the apps used by natural persons. Article 41-A, paragraph 4, directs the full amount of any return, including through the Mecanismo Especial de Devolução, to early settlement of the associated credit operation.

Resolução BCB nº 602, approved on the same date, sets minimum requirements for the selective authorisation through which customers choose which products and services they agree to be marketed. Its remaining provisions apply from 31 March 2027. Article 12 gives institutions 120 days from publication to adapt their systems, policies, internal controls and relationship channels.
