Pix settled 318,116,744 transactions on 4 September 2026, according to Banco Central do Brasil open data for the Sistema de Pagamentos Instantâneos. Those payments moved R$186.9 billion in a single day. The average ticket came to R$587.54.
The record fell in the first working week of the month, when wages and benefits clear across the country. Whether the peak survives the next payroll week will show in the daily settled series.
