Liquid Group and PagBrasil launched Phase 1 of their RoamQR-Pix integration on August 21, 2026. Participating Asian digital wallet users can now scan standard PIX QR codes at Brazilian merchants. Transaction amounts display in the payer's home currency before confirmation.
The partnership extends RoamQR into Latin America for the first time. A reciprocal Phase 2 will enable Brazilian PIX users to make QR payments in Singapore and other RoamQR-connected markets, subject to regulatory approvals.
The companies signed a memorandum of understanding at the Singapore FinTech Festival in late 2025 and completed technical integration ahead of the commercial launch.
