EPI Company launched Wero online commercial payments with all participating Dutch banks on 26 October 2026. The Wero ecommerce use case is effective for customers of ABN AMRO, ASN Bank, bunq, BUUT, Finom, ING, Knab, Nationale-Nederlanden, Rabobank, Triodos Bank and Van Lanschot Kempen. EPI said its ambition is to finalise the iDEAL to Wero migration before the end of 2027.
Commercial payments will be extended in the second quarter of 2027 with new payment management options such as subscriptions and pay on delivery. Purchase protection will be embedded in Wero for Dutch consumers by January 2028.
