Wero launched in Luxembourg in early July 2026. Spuerkeess, BGL BNP Paribas, Banque Internationale à Luxembourg, Post Luxembourg, and Banque Raiffeisen are offering the European digital wallet to their customers. Luxembourg is Wero's fifth active market after Germany, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
The launch initiates a three-month coexistence period with Payconiq, after which the incumbent payment app will be discontinued from October 2026. Merchants and consumers can use either application between July and September.
Wero currently serves 55 million registered users across its active markets.
