Modernized ATS/RTGS platform launched June 3, 2026 (Montran technology) with 24/7 processing, enhanced liquidity management and bulk clearing, implemented with World Bank support. New Instant Payment System with IPS Proxy under implementation by Montran, expected go-live by end of 2026. Daily averages on this record are derived from NBG Annual Report 2024 annual totals over approximately 250 business days; the RTGS also carries retail client payments and settles GSSS and card-system positions, so its volume is high relative to a pure large-value system.

The previous platform had operated since 2009. The partnership between NBG and Montran on Georgia's settlement infrastructure spans more than 25 years.
