Banco Central do Brasil revoked the rulebook for Brazil's legacy DOC and TEC transfer instruments through Resolucao BCB no 600 of 14 October 2026. The act was published in the Diario Oficial da Uniao of 16 October 2026, Section 1, page 147. Resolucao BCB no 600 entered into force on the date of its publication. Its single operative article repeals Resolucao BCB no 297 of 2 March 2023.

Resolucao BCB no 297 required TEC transfers to settle on the same day the payer's account was debited. It required DOC transfers to settle on the business day following that debit. Receiving institutions had to credit beneficiaries within sixty minutes of the corresponding interbank settlement. DOC funds not sent to the clearing and settlement system within the system's deadline had to be passed on to the receiving institutions by TED on the first business day after issuance, with the sending institution bearing the cost of the delay.

DOC transfers ended on 29 February 2024. The instrument had been in use for four decades. Pix recorded 17.6 billion transactions in the first half of 2023, according to a Federacao Brasileira de Bancos (Febraban) survey based on Banco Central do Brasil data, as reported by Agencia Brasil. Resolucao BCB no 600 contains only the repeal article and its entry-into-force article.
